Product development for e-commerce brandsOwn your bestseller.
VOCCEL turns the supplier product you already sell into a product only your brand has. Redesigned around your customers' complaints, proven in our prototype lab, and followed through the factory until production matches the sample.

Same product. Same price war.
Shoppers reverse-image-search. When they find your product for a fifth of the price, your margin and their trust go with it.

Illustration. Prices and complaint are examples.
Anyone can sell it tomorrow.
The same factory will ship the same product to the next store, and that store will price it lower.
The same flaw, review after review.
Your 1–3★ reviews name a problem you can't fix, because you don't own the design.
The cheap-parcel era is over.
The US ended duty-free small parcels. The EU adds a €3 duty per item line from July 2026 and scraps its €150 exemption in 2028. Once you hold stock, owning the product is the next step.

Each rung changes more and needs more tooling. We recommend the lowest rung that does the job. Sometimes the answer is a new colour and a better box.
New Shell
Same proven internals, a completely new body and ergonomics. 2–4 new moulds.
- Tooling
- $5–20k
- Timeline
- 10–16 weeks to handover
- Our fee
- from €10,000
- Good for
- A stable hero product that needs to be unmistakably yours.
Tooling is paid directly to your factory and usually quoted in USD. Ranges come from China mould pricing; your Audit gives exact numbers.
Does it pay back?
A redesign has to earn you more per unit: a higher price, fewer returns, or both. Move the sliders to see how fast that covers our fee and the tooling.
At 1,000 units a month and €8 more profit per unit, a typical Signature Upgrade path pays back in under two months.
Illustration based on typical fees and tooling mid-points. Your Audit replaces these with real quotes.
From Audit to production.
One team from the first teardown to the first production run. You approve each step before the next one starts.
Audit
7–10 DAYSTeardown, review-mining, three upgrade paths with costs.
Design & DFM
3–12 WEEKSCAD built for the mould: draft angles, walls, parting lines.
Proof Sample
2–3 WEEKSPrototypes from our lab. A labelled reference sample goes to your factory.
Factory Match
4–8 WEEKSTool review, T0 and T1 samples, correction lists, until the golden sample.
Production
FIRST RUNPre-production check, inspection spec (AQL), first-run review.
You hold it before the factory cuts steel.
Our lab makes printed, cast and small-batch moulded samples. You test fit, feel and function in your hand. Your factory gets a labelled reference sample instead of a vague spec sheet.
What a mould change costs after the steel is hardened, compared with before.
Parts from a Pilot Run, for creator seeding or a campaign video before production tooling.
Critical-to-quality features marked on the sample, so the factory can't misread "matte".
Lab parts are not production parts. Your factory's T0 and T1 trials and the golden sample decide the final finish. Certification always goes to an accredited third-party lab.
Generic → Owned.
Every case follows the same six steps, so you can compare projects and see exactly where the money went.

The product everyone sold.
- Product: hair pin, sold at $12
- Top complaints: slips out, snaps, looks cheap and easy to break

Three things worth changing.
- An original design, not the supplier's catalogue shape
- A body that is more resistant, holds well and does not snap
- A look and feel that is premium and durable
- Recommended rung: L2 New Shell

Designed for the mould.
- A new original design, built for hold, strength and a premium feel

Tested in the hand.
- Prototype rounds: 2
- Tests: hold test, as the minimum

Until it matched.
- First-sample issues: a long lead time, a design that did not match the factory's capacity, and a tech-pack too thin to smooth the process
- Fixed by: sampling in our design lab (who designs it, makes it) and a realistic tech-pack built from a physical sample
- The supplier saw clear steps and the final look of the product in hand before production

What brands ask first.
Who owns the CAD files and the tooling?
You do. The IP transfers to your company on final payment, and the tool purchase order names your brand as the tooling owner. You can take the files and the tool to any factory.
Will you sign an NDA, and how do I protect the design at my factory?
We sign an NDA before you share anything. For your factory we give you an NNN agreement template (non-disclosure, non-use, non-circumvention) and tell you when to have it signed.
Which factories do you work with?
Your current supplier first, if they can make the new design. If they can't, we introduce partner factories in China, Portugal and Tunisia after the NDA is signed.
How do time zones work?
We work on Eastern European Time (UTC+2). Our morning is the factory's afternoon in China and overlaps your working day in the UK and EU. US East Coast mornings overlap our afternoon.
What if the factory can't hit the sample?
Every project ends with a portable product file: clean CAD, 2D drawings and specs any factory can quote from. If your factory fails, you can move without starting again.
Do you do electronics or certification?
Not in-house. We design around existing electronics and bring in partners for new circuits. Certification always goes to an accredited third-party lab.
Is this right for a new store?
Not yet. Tooling only pays back at orders of 300 to 1,000 units or more. Start with the free Differentiation Ladder guide and come back when a product has proven itself.
